A. Dax Bello

A. Dax Bello earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Miami (B.A. 2005), and a Juris Doctorate degree with honors at St. Thomas University School of Law (J.D. 2008).

Dax has served as in-house counsel for MasTec, Inc., a publicly traded telecommunications, government and utilities contractor with annual revenues in excess of $4 Billion. In 2009 he was sworn in as an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade County where he prosecuted over thirty matters to verdict, including charges of: Homicide, Armed Home Invasion Robbery, Armed Narcotics Trafficking, and other violent crimes. He was also a member of the State Attorney’s Office’s prestigious Traffic Homicide Unit.

Since 2008 Dax has been a very active member of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana and co-chairs several Carnaval Miami events and other club projects such as the KCLH Basketball League and Summer Camp which are provided free of charge to under-privileged children in South Florida. In 2010, Dax was named a Power 30 Under 30 honoree by the Apex Society. He was elected to the Cuban American Bar Association’s Board of Directors in 2011 and currently serves as co-chair of the Judicial, Young Lawyers, Public Relations, Membership, Community Outreach and Rapid Response Committees. In 2013 Dax was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Latin Builders Association (LBA), and the Board of Directors of Legal Services of Greater Miami (LSGMI). Dax was selected as a Fellow of the Florida Bar Association’s Wm. Reese Smith Jr. Leadership Academy in 2014, and appointed to the Miami Dade County Public Schools Business Education Committee by former School Board Member now Congressman Carlos Curbelo. Most recently, he was named an Attorney to Watch in 2015, by Attorney at Law magazine.
