History

 

Our firm was founded in 1984 after four of the named partners left a larger firm to focus exclusively on representing a small number of clients whose cases demand our full and undivided attention. In our opinion, too many law firms these days promote themselves by proudly proclaiming the large number of cases they handle. At Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, our philosophy is just the opposite. We proudly proclaim that we represent fewer clients per lawyer than any firm we know of. Over the past 25 years, the principal attorneys in our firm have represented, on average, just six clients per lawyer at any one time. That’s it.

 

Why are we proud of representing such a small number of clients year in and year out? Because it is the only way we know of to devote the necessary time, research and resources to maximize each client’s opportunity for the best possible result. We are hands-on partners, with lawyers doing the legal work. And, we believe, our track record is living proof of how this strategy works. Each case has a long story behind it and, more often than not, represents years of work, hundreds if not thousands of hours and the full commitment of our entire firm.
