Volkswagen Cheating Scandal

It seems a deal is in the works between Volkswagen and the U.S. Department of Justice over what VW must do to fix the cars that were intentionally programmed with software that was designed to cheat on emissions tests here in the U.S. and elsewhere. Details are still being worked out but the general framework of a settlement was announced today in a federal court overseeing the matter. Some estimates put the all-in worldwide cost to VW over this most incredible cheating scandal at $32 billion or more. Stay tuned for details.
